31/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission on Wednesday adopted a report on national strategies for reducing the quantities of biodegradable waste put into landfill. The report shows that in January 2004 the Commission received national strategies from most member states (twelve out of fifteen). Ireland and Spain did not submit national strategies and the Finnish plan was submitted too late to be taken account of in the report.
