Cairo, 14/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Euromed parliamentary assembly met from 12 March to 15 March in Cairo in ordinary session, the first since it was formed in Athens last year. Chaired by Fathi Sorour, President of the People of Egypt's Assembly, the session was attended by Josep Borrell, EP President, European Affairs Minister Nicolas Schmit and European Commissioner Margot Wallstrom as well as several presidents of assemblies of member nations in the Barcelona process.
