Italian jury composition rules for State examinations for access to legal profession are in line with Community law

Luxembourg, 01/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - In an order returned in the Mauri case, the Court of Justice of the EU states that Italian rules on the composition of juries for States entrance examinations to the legal profession do not violate Community competition rules. It notes that the Italian State takes a “substantial position” within this jury, with the presence of two magistrates; the Justice Ministry has considerable competencies allowing it to check every stage of the jury's work...
