Presidency priorities are fight against poverty, millennium development objectives and EU coherency policies

Brussels, 05/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - The fight against poverty, notably in Africa, will constitute the central objective of the Luxembourg presidency's programme at the development cooperation Council. The three main priorities include, the millennium development objectives, the fight against HIV/AIDS and the Union's coherency policies. The presidency's objectives for each of these priorities during its mandate are listed below:
