Brussels, 14/12/2004 (Agence Europe) - As planned, the Commission has validated the French and German budgetary plans for 2005, suspending excessive deficit procedure initiated in 2003 against the two Member States. In a communication adopted on Tuesday, it considers that "no further action is needed at this stage", the Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs explained to the press. Joaquin Almunia nonetheless considers that "the budgetary situation remains fragile in both countries"...
