Still no agreement on abandoning of unananimity on illegal immigration - case should be decided by European council

Brussels, 02/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - The abandonment of unanimity in economic immigration is still dividing Member States, two days away from the European Council, and which is expected to launch on 4-5 November, the new multilateral programme for justice and home affairs. It is the last contentious point in the new programme, although Member States still have misgivings about other cases, especially, Objective 2010 on common asylum policy and the European Prosecutor.
