The Belgian lime producer LHOIST and Brazilian cement producer VOTORANTIM CEMENTOS (net profit of 4.7 billion reals in 2003) have created a joint venture active in the production of lime. The new company, in which LHOIST will have invested 126 million EUR, will be known as MINERACAO BELOCAL. It will be held equally by both groups.
