ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) distribution

The Dutch group AHOLD has sold its activities in Spain to the investment fund PERMIRA FUNDS for around 685 million EUR. These activities concern 25 "Hiperdino" department stores and 550 "Supersol" supermarkets, with a turnover of 2 billion EUR in 2003.
