Monaco becomes 46th Member State

Strasbourg, 05/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - In Strasbourg on Tuesday, Monaco officially became the 46th Member State of the pan-European organisation with its seat in the Alsatian city. "Welcoming the Principality of Monaco to the Council of Europe is for me, as for all of my compatriots, a subject of great satisfaction and pride", said Prince Albert, reading out a message from his father Rainier of Monaco.
