Brussels, 04/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - Mary Coughlan, 39, will be the new agriculture minister in Ireland, following the reshuffle of Bertie Ahern's cabinet on 29 September. Ms Coughlan will replace Joe Walsh, who is retiring after ten yeas as minister for agriculture. Since 2002, Coughlan has been minister of social and family affairs.
