Brussels, 22/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - On 25-29 September, Dublin will host the 16th annual contest for young European Union scientists. The most promising young scientists will be competing for prizes worth a total value of EUR 28,500. 105 youngsters from 34 countries will be presenting 74 novel projects. The contest is open to 15-20 year olds. They will be judged by 15 renown scientists. This event aims to promote recognition of science in our society and to encourage youngsters to continue their efforts in this area, hoping that they will be attracted by a life devoted to science. The contest is part of the EU's "Science and Society".
