Noordwijk, 17/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - EU defence ministers confirmed their commitment to provide "battle groups", Dutch Minister Henk Kamp was pleased to state after the informal meeting in Noordwijk. The constitution of such units is to be carried out in two phases: an initial capacity of two or three battle groups from 2005 on and a total capacity of around 9 units by 2007.
