Council to discuss contested proposals on replenishment of sole and langoustine stocks

Brussels, 15/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - In Luxembourg on 18 October, the Fisheries Ministers of the Member States of the EU are to hold an initial exploratory debate on controversial proposals to replenish stocks of sole in the Western Channel and the Gulf of Gascony, and of hake and langoustine in the Cantabrian Sea, and to the west of the Iberian peninsula. However, no decision is expected before November or even December.
