23/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - According to estimates published on 22 July by Eurostat, the index of incoming orders to industry fell by 0.3% in May 2004 in the euro zone compared to one month earlier. The index was up 2.1% in April and 2% in March. In the EU25, incoming orders were also down by 0.1% in May 2004 after rises of 2.2% in April and 1.8% in March. In May 2004 compared to May 2003, industry's incoming orders were up 6.8% in the euro zone and 7.4% in the EU25.
