European Jewish Information Centre calls for more action from European Commission

Brussels, 15.07.2004 (Agence Europe) - Given the recrudescence of anti-Semitism, the European Jewish Information Centre (CEJI) calls on the European Commission for concrete measures in the context of an overall strategy. The message sent by mail to Romano Prodi proposes above all harmonisation of the European framework for criminal punishment for racist crimes and the implementation in all Member States of socio-educational prevention actions in schools.
