08/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - The opening of infringement proceeding against the many Member States which have not yet transposed directive on the liberalised of the gas and electricity markets into their national law, which was scheduled for last Wednesday (see EUROPE of 2 July, p.8) has been adjourned. The opening of the proceedings in question should "in theory" take place at the next weekly meeting of the College on 14 July, a Commission spokesperson.
