Liberals and Centrists support Bronislaw Geremek for Presidency of European Parliament

Brussels, 07/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Bureau of the future "Alliance of Democrats and Liberals for Europe" has unanimously decided to support (on Wednesday in Brussels) the candidacy of former Polish minister for foreign affairs Bronislaw Geremek at the presidency of the European Parliament.

Geremek declared that, "the fact that a former dissident active for fifteen years in the transformation of his country represented one of the ten countries that joined the Union two months ago...
