28/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - The British Liberal Democrat Sarah Ludford has welcomed the decision by President Pat Cox to bring the EU/United States agreement on airline passenger data before the Court of Justice of the EU (see EUROPE of 26 June, p.11). If the Court rules against the agreement, as the EP hopes, "the Commission will have to start negotiating a real international agreement, which takes account of MEPs' concerns", she said in a press release.
