Protocol on extending PCA to ten accession countries signed, due to joint declaration to satisfaction of both parties

Luxembourg, 27/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the EU and Russia put their differences on the Union's enlargement behind them, and signed the protocol allowing the Partnership and Co-operation Agreement (PCA) to be extended to the ten new Member States as of 1 May (the protocol has still to be formally ratified by the Duma, the Russian Parliament, but in the meantime it will be provisionally applied from Saturday).
