Brussels, 20/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Association of Craft, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise, UEAPME, is organising for 23 and 24 April in Luxembourg the Third European Summit for Crafts and SME on the theme: "EU Enlargement: SMEs meeting the challenge". It will be cofinanced by the European Commission. Representatives of the main SME associations will discuss the impact of enlargement on small and medium-sized enterprise in the EU15. The summit will be chaired by Paul Reckinger, UEAPME President and President of the Luxembourg Chamber of Craft. Luxembourg Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker will speak during the afternoon. Participants include UEAPME Secretary General Hans-Werner Müller, Chief Executive of the European Policy Centre Hans Martens, and Peter Havlik, Deputy Director of The Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies.
