COMECE in Santiago de la Compostela to discuss the European Constitution, European elections and the EU's financial prospects

Brussels, 19/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - Bishops in COMECE (Commission of the Bishops' Conferences of the European Community) is organising a week of events from 17 to 24 April to underline the responsibility of Christians for building a united Europe, explains a press release. From 17 April onwards, the bishops will lead 300 pilgrims from 25 different countries on the centuries-old 'camino' to Santiago de Compostela, joined by religious and lay people from all walks of life.
