24 April congress (Adoption of election manifesto and sucessor to Cook) - Discussion between leaders and Prime Ministers

Brussels, 16/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Party of European Socialists Congress, whose President is British Socialist Robin Cook, will meet in Brussels on 24 April to elect a successor to Mr Cook (who is not standing) and adopt an electoral programme for the June elections.

A party press releases indicates that a televised debate will take place on the eve of the congress (23 April) attended by top party leaders, socialist/social democrat heads of government and election candidates. The...
