Brussels, 30/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has formally called on Germany to amend the "Volkswagen law" that enables the region of Lower Saxony to inspect strategic decisions made by the car manufacturer. It considers that the 1960 law dissuades investors increasing their share in VW, by limiting shareholders voting rights to 20% and by giving the region two seats out of ten on the management board.
