Green light for acquisition of Carling Coke Plant

Brussels, 19/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised German companies Dillinger Hütte and Saarsthaal to acquire the Carling coke plant at Houllières du Bassin de Lorraine (HBL) through their joint venture Rogesa. Dillinger Hütte produces steel whilst Saarsthaal manufactures long steel products. The Rogesa branch manufactures cast iron used by the parent companies to produce steel.
