Manuel Marin, former European Commissioner may chair congress

Brussels, , 18/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - A PSOE press statement has announced that the future prime minister Zapatero is proposing the candidacy of the former European Commissioner Manuel Marin as Chairman of the Congress of Deputies. Marin, who was e-elected to congress, negotiated Spain's accession to the EU between 1982 - 1985, as secretary of state for relations with the Communities.
