Brussels, 16/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - European Commissioner Frits Bolkestein is to meet William McDonough, Chairman of the US Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, PCAOB, next week., European sources say. The visit comes after approval by the Commission on Tuesday of a draft directive on surveillance of audit firms, which should partially correspond to US provisions (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.9).
