Brussels, 16/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - Last week, the Council of Ministers of the EU adopted a series of decisions on trade protection. These were: 1) a regulation bringing in definitive anti-dumping duty, and making permanent the provisional duty on imports of large rainbow trout from Norway and the Faeroe Islands; 2) a regulation modifying the regulation instituting a definitive anti-dumping duty and making permanent the provisional duty on imports of certain malleable cast iron tube and pipe fittings from Brazil, the Czech Republic, Japan, China, Korea and Thailand; 3) a regulation extending suspension of the anti-dumping duty extended to imports of certain malleable cast iron tube and pipe fittings from Argentina, whether or not they have been declared as originating from this country; 4) a regulation institution definitive anti-dumping duty and making permanent the provisional duty on imports of sodium cyclamate from China and Indonesia. These four regulations were published in the Official Journal L72 of 11 March 2004. Last week, the Council also adopted a regulation modifying the provisions on anti-dumping and anti-subsidy provisions applicable to imports of sulphanilic acid originating, inter alia, in India.
