More Commission aid for elections

Brussels, 02/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the European Commission approved further aid of EUR 8 million in favour of elections in Afghanistan. A press release states that this aid is intended for the voter registration plan managed by the UN and for which the European Union is the first donor. This brings the Commission's contribution to the organisation of these elections to the sum of EUR 15 million whereas the total amount of Union aid, counting that of Member States, currently...
