Brussels, 01/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Danish president of the Group of Democracies and Diversities, Jens-Peter Bonde, has announced in a press release that he will be continuing the fight for a fair travel allowance system for MEPs on the basis of actual travel expenses. Mr Bonde deplored the fact that MEPs were still able to be reimbursed for the price of a "business class" ticket although, in fact, only the price of an economy ticket had been paid out. Mr Bonde has announced that, with the support of small political groups, he will be making a new proposal to obtain reimbursement on the basis of real costs.
