Brussels, 25/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - On the eve of the European Parliament debate on the Belder report on EU/Russia relations (EUROPE of 24 February, p.5), Olivier Dupuis, the Belgian member of the Lista Bonino, called on his colleagues to agree to recognise deportation of the Chechen people in 1944 as "genocide", and on the EU to examine the "Akhmadov" peace plan as a means to put an end to the conflict.
