German MEPs criticise Stolpe after fiasco over road pricing for heavy vehicles

Brussels, 18/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - Several members of CDU/CSU (in the opposition) in Germany again criticised the way in which the German Transport Minister, Manfred Stolpe, managed the attempt to introduce a road pricing system into Germany for heavy vehicles, an attempt which caused a hole of EUR 2.2 billion in the German budget, Markus Ferber (CSU) commented.
