Italy calls for Cartoceto olive oil to be included on list of protected names of origin

Brussels, 18/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Italian Minister for Agriculture and Forests has filed with the European Commission a request for extra virgin "Cartoceto" olive oil to be registered as a protected designation of origin (PDO). The request is published in the Official Journal C41 of 17 February 2004. Carceto olive oil is produced in the province of Pesaro-Urbino (Marcia region) and more precisely in the communes of Cartoceto, Saltara, Serrungarina, Mombaroccio and part of the Fano...
