Joschka Fischer suggests transatlantic initiative for Middle East - Peter Struck expects initiative similar to 1967 Haermel report to come out of Istanbul NATO summit

Brussels, 09/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer expressed on Saturday during the conference in Munich on security policy his "deep scepticism" about possible NATO involvement in Iraq. He specified, however, that Germany would not block a decision along these lines (although it would not send troops to Iraq).
