23 countries (except Latvia and Cyprus) are ready to allow other European nationals to vote in June

Brussels, 29/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - Twenty-three countries of the EU are ready to allow nationals of other Member States to vote in European elections in June this year. Only Cyprus and Latvia have not yet completed preparation for this but plan to do so rapidly, it is stated at the Commission.

Elections at the European Parliament will take place between 10 and 13 June 2004. European citizens living in a Member State other than that of which they are nationals should be able to vote and...
