Brussels, 16/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - As well as farming and food safety (EUROPE yesterday p 9), EU Member State fisheries ministers will attempt to reach an agreement on Wednesday with regard to a "package" consisting of three controversial proposals: total allowable catches (TAC) and quotas for 2004; new fishing effort limitation measures on cod in several zones, plaice from the north, sole from the Western Channel, hake, burbot and lobster in the Iberian peninsula; the long-term restocking...
