Brussels, 14/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - In addition to the agenda previously announced (yesterday's EUROPE, p.17), the European Parliament will hold, on Wednesday, a debate on the results of the EU/Russia summit (EUROPE of 7 November, p. 3 and 8 November, p. 5), and should adopt a resolution criticising Silvio Berlusconi's position on Chechnya. The Socialists, Greens and President Cox have already expressed the 'concerns' on this matter (EUROPE of 11 November, p. 5). We cannot avoid the issue of human rights in Chechnya and the attacks against the freedom of the press, repeated on Friday the spokesperson for the Greens/ALE, making the ironic remark of a summit between 'two media Tzars.'
