MEPs express dismay at Berlusconi's declarations about Chechnya

Brussels, 07/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - The remarks by European Council President Silvio Berlusconi, who spontaneously took the defence of Russian policy in Chechnya during the press conference which closed the EU/Russia Summit on 6 November in Rome, caused dismay within the European Parliament (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.3).
