Brussels, 07/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - Following the Summit in Rome on 6 November, the EU and Russia adopted a joint statement which avoids "touchy" subjects like the situation in Chechnya and Russia's ratification of the Kyoto Protocol, a point on which the EU has again failed to obtain any commitment on Russia's part.
