24/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Commission presented a follow-up report on the strategic programme for 2000 to improve the VAT system in a single market of 25. The entire report will be published in EUROPE/DOCUMENTS and outlines initiatives till 2005: with taxation where consumption takes place - simplification of operator obligations, nationalisation of existing derogations, reinforcement of fight against fraud.
