Commission confirms investigation on Finmeccanica

Brussels, 24/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has confirmed that an inquiry is currently in progress regarding aid of EUR 250 million paid to the Italian company, Finmeccanica. Financing was reportedly carried out in 1996 and concerned several subsidiaries specialised in the aerospace sector, namely Alenia, Agusta and Aermacchi.
