03/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - On 2 September the European Parliament adopted in plenary session the report of the President of the Social Affairs Committee, Theodorus Bouwman (Greens/EFA, Netherlands) on "Investigation by polling EU work force with the goal of adapting the list of characteristics of the enquiry". Thus the EP has approved the Commission proposals aiming to adapt and complete the list of variables listed in the basic 1988 regulation and by adding to it several new variables including: breaks in receiving salaries or wages; the participation of the public employment services in finding jobs, contracts with temporary job agencies, overtime and the lack of child minding and health facilities.
