Brussels, 01/08/2003 (Agence Europe) - From 1 August onwards, Switzerland will automatically reject asylum requests from citizens of the EU, EFTA (Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein), candidate countries (with the exception of Turkey), Bosnia Herzegovina and Macedonia. Albania, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Gambia, Senegal, India and Mongolia were already on the “safe country” list.
