Brussels, 03/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the Council adopted a decision published the same day in the Official Journal (L 62), extending the list of persons banned from entering or travelling through EU territory because of their failure to collaborate with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). These people have either assisted individuals charged with crimes by the ICTFY, have evaded justice or who have acted in a manner which could obstruct effective implementation of the ICTY's mandate. The EU is encouraging third countries to adopt similar measures with regard to these people.
