18/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - A press release published on 18 June indicates that "Luxembourg Prime Minister, Jean-Claude Juncker, was pleased to hear of Jean-Claude Trichet's acquittal", adding: "any other situation would have robbed the European Union of a competent, well-informed and committed Governor of the European Central Bank".
