Opinion of working group on protection of personal data on guarantees proposed by US Administration for protecting personal data of air passengers

Brussels, 18/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - The working group on the protection of personal data adopted an opinion last Friday on the guarantees provided by the US Administration for protecting the personal data of passengers flying with airlines (PNR Passenger Name Record) - either to or through the United States - data to which US authorities have had access since 5 March this year.
