18/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised two operations using the accelerated procedure. Firstly, the acquisition of insurance company Toro by De Agnostini, subsidiary of the Fiat group (Italy), and secondly, the take-over of insurance company Canada Life Financial Corporation by the financial services group Great-West Lifeco (Canada).
