Smooth start to deployment of Artemis in Democratic Republic of Congo

Brussels, 13/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - The arrival of the first troops in the EU's military mission, Artemis, to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) got off to a smooth start, according to Aldo Ajello on Friday, EU Special Representative for the Great Lakes region, and General Major Neveux, commander of the operation. Ajello travelled to Bunia for the launch of the special mission decided on Thursday by the Council (see yesterday's Europe, p.6). He said the overall picture was positive...
