RBOS - ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND has taken over CHURCHILL INSURANCE GROUP (total of £1.6 bn gross premiums, pre-tax profits of £ 86 million in 2002 with a staff of 8500), third largest insurance insurer in the UK from CREDIT SUISSE, for £ 1 bn.
