Strasbourg, 10/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - Adopting a resolution last Thursday by all the political groups apart from the UEN and the EDD, the EP called for the immediate release of Aung San Suu Kyi, arrested on 31 May along with 19 other members of her party, the national democracy league. It again called for the release of all political prisoners, for human rights to be respected and for all universities to be immediately re-opened.
