Commission authorises purchase of Danske Traelast

Brussels, 14/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised the acquisition of Danske Traelast by UK investment group CVC. Dansk Traelast is a building material wholesaler and retailer active in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. CVC manages investments on behalf of investment funds and already has a controlling interest in companies active in the manufacture, wholesale and retail sale of products such as cement, pipes, and lighting, insulation and gardening products....
